Blisspoint 2012 presents "Sell the Sizzle, not the Steak"- A marketing event. Coined by Edmund Wheeler, this aphorism reveals the crux of marketing. Every product has a "sizzle", an X factor, a USP. Can you find the Sizzle?
Description
Terms and Conditions:
1. Each team shall consist of minimum two / maximum three participants
2. Cross college teams are allowed
3. Any team found using any form of network connection during the course of the event shall be disqualified on the spot
4. Our decision shall be final and all teams have to abide by it
5. On the spot registrations are allowed. You can also register online by visiting the official web page of Blisspoint 2012
Rules: There will be two rounds
AD-MAD
1. It is a print media round (poster making round) .
2. Each team will be given a topic on the spot and will be provided with a chart paper and crayons to make the poster.
3. The teams have to convey their interpretation of the product via punch lines or slogans
4. The Time limit will be 30 minutes.
NOTE: We are not so much interested in the artistic abilities of the participants as much as their marketing skills
AD-PLAN
1. Teams will be allotted a product and will have to formulate a market strategy.
2. The strategy should be supported by historical evidence or a survey. You shall be given an hour for the same.
3. Questions will be asked on the basis of the survey conducted or the logic behind your strategy, its depth and its relevance.
Time: 1 hour for survey or reasoning
5 min for verbal presentation
2 min for questions and answers
